Kids Summer Art Afternoons
2 hours
Let your kids cool off and relax in the bright, spacious studio at Art for Fun!
Children ages 6 - 16 can engage in fun art projects, learn new skills and techniques, and socialize with other creative kids.

Class Fees:

$40 per session or $150 for a package of 4 classes, payable in advance.

Working with Glass: fusing and mosaics.
2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Working with Clay: from raw clay to glazing.
2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

| Thursdays |
Drawing and Painting: watercolor, acrylics, pastels, pencils, mixed media and painting on silk.

Execute two panels of “head
glass” with fine details, copper
foil overlay and solder added to
create depth. This class will
dispel every rule about working
directly on the glass, heat
fracture, design mass,
adhesion and more!

DANCING GLASS
All skill levels. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Work textured or fabulously
stained glass together into
graceful panels that join and
seem to move as they hang on
your wall. Fabricate several
panels and layer them for extra
depth. Explore surface
decoration and hanging
techniques.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7
WORKING WITH SOLDERFIELDS .
All skill levels. 9 a.m.- 5 p.m
Learn to design stained glass
without light transmission.
Create high profile “solder
field” base with decorative,
sculptured solder. Add main
focus and peripheral glass
decoration directly to solder
surface.
